UGC NET Important Dates to apply


As you know that the exam is held twice in a year. If you want to apply for UGC NET Electronic science then you must know some important dates. Below are some important dates, you have to remember before filling the examination form:

UGC NET Application Form starting date - 1st March 2019

UGC NET Application Form closing Date - 30th March 2019

Application Correction Window - 07th April 2019 - 14th April 2019

UGC NET Admit Card - 15th May 2019

UGC NET Exam Dates - 20th, 21st June and 24th June - 28th June 2019

Result (Tentative) - 15th July 2019




UGC NET Eligibility criteria for Electronic-science


Before applying for UGC NET Electronic Science one should have:


1) A post-graduation or equivalent degree with aggregate 55% for general category (50% for OBC/SC/ST/PWD/Transgender). There are 5% relaxations in marks for those who have completed their Ph.D. degree before 19th September 1993.


2) Age should not be more than 30 years (5 years relaxation for OBC/SC/ST/PWD/Female/Transgender Candidates.)


3) No Age restriction for the post of assistant professor.




UGC NET Electronic-science Exam Pattern and syllabus



Without getting the complete knowledge of examination, you will not be able to understand the things related to the exam. So before starting preparation have a look at the paper pattern.

There are mainly 2 papers which are of 3 hours and there will be no negative marking for the wrong answer.


Paper 1: consists the common subjects, which is the same for all the streams. It is of 100 marks (50 questions, each of 2 marks.)


Paper 2: consists of the question related to Electronic science. It is of 200 marks (100 questions, each of 2marks.)

Paper 1: Teaching Aptitude, Research Aptitude, Reasoning, Science & Environment, Computer, Governance, Polity and Administration.


Paper 2: Electronic Transport in semiconductor, Superposition, Rectifiers, Logic families, Architecture of 8085 and 8086 Microprocessors, Introduction of High – level Programming Language, Maxwell’s equations, Basic principles of amplitude, Characteristics of solid state power devices, Optical sources, Transduces, Measuring Equipment, Analytical Instruments, Open-loop and closed-loop control system, Fourier and Z – transforms, State variable method of circuit analysis, multivibrators, Operational Amplifiers (OP-AMP), Programming and C++, Introduction of FORTRAN language, programming discipline, Measurement of R, L and C, Bridge and Potentiometers.
