• UGC has approved an electronic certificate based on the information you provided, during the form filling.

• At the time of counselling, candidates should have to have to submit the CBSE NET counselling Application and Original certificates.

• After this process, you can Shortlist a few Universities/Institutions according to your choice.

• To be aware of the vacancies and for this Keep a check on their website.

• When the vacancies are rolled out, apply for the same.

• If you are shortlisted then you will be called for an interview or written test.

• If you are selected then you will be able to join that particular college or university.

Note: You have the validity of 2 years from the date of issue of NET E-certificate or JRF Award Letter. So you can apply within 2 years. After that, there will be no use of your scorecard. But for Assistant Professor, the scorecard is valid forever.

After qualifying NET Exam, you can work in a public as well as in the private sector. You can work as Program Executive, Transmission Executive, Lab Trainer, Guest Faculty, Consultant, etc. One can also join top PSU’s like Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC), Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), etc.
